We're looking for a
Welder/Fabricator , working in
Manufacturing industry in
Lakeland, Florida, 33811, United States.
Our client has immediate openings for a Welder/Fabricator conveniently located at our Lakeland Production facility. Our current openings are on 1st shift from 6 AM- 2:30 PM Monday to Friday.
We offer medical benefits and salary is up to $22 per hour based on qualifications.
Essential Duties:
- Perform welding duties using a wire fed welder.
- Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts or rework finished products.
- Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
- Operate forklift, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch and other hand tools related to the job’s needs.
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings and work orders.

Experience Required for Your Success
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Abilityto perform a lot of repetitive motion
- Abilityto operate heavy equipment.
- E-verify
- 10 Panel Drug Test
This position also requires the operation of heavy equipment such as:
- 6,000 – 16,000lbs Forklift (Must be able to climb into cab)
- 1 ton Jib Cranes (Push and Pull Operated)
- 10 ton overhead crane
40 ton Break Press and Sheer
This position requires a lot of repetitive motion:
- Deadlifting up to 35lbs objects from floor to chest level
- Gripping and holding up to 15lbs away from body
- Twisting wrists and hands to apply clamps
- Pushing and or pulling with up to 75lbs of force using full body or isolated muscle groups
