The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Patient Scheduler, working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Dallas, Texas, United States.

  • Under general supervision and in accordance with established procedures, schedules, radiology and imaging procedures.
  • Make adjustments to schedules as necessary to ensure maximum utilization of resources.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of scheduled dates and times and types of schedules for distribution.
  • Schedule time for radiology/imaging procedures as requested by referring physicians to achieve maximum utilization of resources.
  • Contact patients to confirm scheduled dates and times to confirm radiology/imaging schedule prior to actual day of procedures.
  • Adjust schedules to utilize unused time due to cancellations and to accommodate patients in need of immediate or emergency procedures.
  • Contact radiology/imaging staff affected by schedule adjustments to ensure patient is prepared and necessary personnel and equipment are available.
  • Compile patient information such as diagnosis, reason for procedure, medications, allergies, and other applicable information provided by physicians or office staff prior to scheduled procedure.
  • Print schedules and distribute to appropriate personnel in the radiology/imaging department.
  • Type memos and policy documents, prepare statistical summaries, and maintain the work area.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Women's imaging (mammogram) scheduling experience
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Experience in high inbound call volume (50-60 calls per shift)
  • Epic experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish highly preferred
