The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Machine Operator, working in Manufacturing industry in Geneva, Illinois, 60134, United States.Our Client has immediate openings for experienced Machine Operators at our manufacturing facility conveniently located in Geneva, IL and in Carol Stream, IL. Our current openings are on the 2nd shift and 3rd shift, with schedules that offer improved work-life balance.
We offer medical, dental, vision, and 401 (k) benefits as well as earned PTO. Salary is up to $18.00 - $19.00 per hour based on qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and attend to various high-speed envelope making machines.
- Continually inspect folded envelopes for quality of construction and printing.
- Pack/lift the correct quantity of envelopes in the appropriate cartons machine.
- Manufacture up to 1,500 envelopes per minute. (Maximum 32 pounds).
- When the machine stops, clean off seal gum rollers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Prepare and maintain production sheets.
- Work near rotating cylinders and rollers. Sharp moving parts and forklifts pose safety issues.
- Work in conjunction with one or more co-workers.
- Work in constant exposure to noise is present and closely monitored. Gloves and safety equipment including ear plugs and safety shoes may provide mild sensory deprivation.
- Handle frustration (with machine malfunction) and flexibility to perform other tasks when down time occurs.
- Work indoors 100% of time with artificial lighting. Floors are smooth concrete. Shock absorbing mats are used where appropriate. Hair must be up and away from face with no jewelry.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and machine operating
- Ability to work in a fast paced and hot environment
- Must have good hearing, vision and attention for environmental awareness
- Must maintain concentration levels/awareness with repetitive tasks
- Good interpersonal skills to work with co-workers/team
- Must be eligible to work in the US, pass E-Verify
- Must be willing to submit to a background check- county
- Must be willing to submit to a 5-panel drug screen
- Mechanical aptitude is a must
