The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a MIG Welder - 1st Shift / 2nd Shift, working in Manufacturing industry in Aurora, Illinois, 60542, United States.Our client has immediate openings for experienced MIG Welders at our manufacturing facility conveniently located in Aurora, IL. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding noise control solutions to create a safer and more comfortable work environment. Our current openings are available for both the 1st and 2nd shifts, offering schedules that promote improved work-life balance
We offer medical, dental, vision and 401 (k) benefits as well as earned PTO. Salary is up to $17.00 per hour based on qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

Experience Required for Your Success
- 0-2 years welding test required
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Knowledge & Experience with MIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Professional Certification is a plus (welding certificate)
- Ability to maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads up to 50lbs.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers to be able to perform their duties and responsibilities successfully
- Specific vision abilities are required to perform their duties and responsibilities successfully; examples include close vision, and distance vision
