We're looking for a
MIG Welder - 1st Shift / 2nd Shift, working in
Manufacturing industry in
Aurora, Illinois, 60542, United States.
Our client has immediate openings for experienced MIG Welders at our manufacturing facility conveniently located in Aurora, IL. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding noise control solutions to create a safer and more comfortable work environment. Our current openings are available for both the 1st and 2nd shifts, offering schedules that promote improved work-life balance
We offer medical, dental, vision and 401 (k) benefits as well as earned PTO. Salary is up to $17.00 per hour based on qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

Experience Required for Your Success
- 0-2 years welding test required
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Knowledge & Experience with MIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Professional Certification is a plus (welding certificate)
- Ability to maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads up to 50lbs.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers to be able to perform their duties and responsibilities successfully
- Specific vision abilities are required to perform their duties and responsibilities successfully; examples include close vision, and distance vision
