We're looking for a Childcare Counselor, Residential Care, working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Pasadena, California, United States.As a premier provider dedicated to healing children and young adults, strengthening families, and transforming communities through quality comprehensive services and advocacy, we are looking for a Childcare Counselor/Resident Child Counselor in Pasadena, CA. As a Childcare Counselor/Resident Child Counselor working either daytime or overnight shift, you will help children acquire socially acceptable habits of behavior, appearance and develop improved personal relationships. You will be involved in training social skills of each resident and help each child relate to the group and handle individual problems.
As a member of a unit team, you will participate in the development of individual childcare plans directed toward return of the child to their own home or other appropriate placement. You will use your exceptional organization skills to facilitate and participate in various leisure time activities through cultivation of personal interests and join with the children and adolescents in normal leisure activities such as dancing, recreation, camping, etc.
Under the guidance of the teacher, you will assist with all classroom instruction and use appropriate authority and discipline as necessary to set limits for behavior and help each child develop his own capacity for self-control.
Sign on Bonus of $2000!
The bonus is split and paid in increments at hire, 3 months, 6 months, and 1st year.
Starting Salary Range: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour DOE and bilingual status.
Overnight Shift Differential Available: You are eligible for a shift differential of $1 per hour worked for each hour worked during an overnight shift that starts at 10 PM PST and ends at 9 AM PST
