The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a
Printed Circuit Board Assembler, working in
IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in
Houston, Texas, 77041, United States.
- Manage producing assemblies and sub-assemblies by assembling parts and components.
- Follow ISO9000 work instructions to assemble new and refurbish units.
- Produce assemblies and sub-assemblies by assembling parts and components.
- Read and utilize work instructions.
- Use hand tools or soldering irons to assemble parts.
- Conduct quality control checks with inspection and tests.
- Practice Lean 5S techniques such as cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment, including tools.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Solder through-hole wires and components to PCBA.
- Read and follow ISO9000 work instructions.
- Escalate issues to Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Recommend process improvements to eliminate waste and improve efficiencies.
- Glue units closed using 2-part methacrylate adhesive.

Experience Required for Your Success
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years solder experience with SMT and TH components down to 0402 size
- 2+ years electrical and mechanical assembly experience
- Mechanical and technical skills
- Safety management mindset
- Focus on quality control, process improvement and teams
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
- Knowledge of soldering to an IPC610 class II standard
- Ability to do basic task on a computer
- Ability to read and understand ISO work instructions
- Experience in soldering preferred
- Experience in Lean 5S and quality improvement preferred
