Machine Operator, working in
Manufacturing industry in
795 Kimberly Drive, Carol Stream, Illinois, 60188, United States.
Our Client has immediate openings for an experienced Machine Operator at our manufacturing facility conveniently located in Carol Stream, IL.Our current openings are on the 2nd shift and 3rd shift, with schedules that offer improved work-life balance.
We offer medical, dental, vision, and 401 (k) benefits as well as earned PTO. Salary is up to $19.00 per hour based on qualifications.based on qualifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Check specs, load/unload production lines forMachine Operations
- Utilize measurement tools such as pre-set gauges to verify quality of production.
- Perform 100% visual inspection of parts.
- Make necessary offsets.
- Change/adjust production tooling.
- Complete forms recording production results.
- Daily preventative maintenance, remove and dispose of chips/shavings, replenish fluids/lubricants.
- Comply with ISO 16949 & 14001 requirements, and safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas - perform 5S cleaning responsibilities.
- Read job instructions and performs basic mathematical calculations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Experience Required for Your Success
Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to automated or robotic equipment.

Must be able to read and interpret piece part drawings and make decisions regarding part quality and offset changes.

Must have experience in machining and using measuring tools such as drop indicators, dial bore gauges, plug gauges, fixture related pin gauges.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment running multiple production lines, prioritizing tasks to maximize efficiency.

Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work overtime and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting standing and walking on concrete floors throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift with frequent handling of metal parts weighing 1 to 5 pounds.

Use of hand tools
- Use of up to 50 lbs. of force to move heavy loads on wheels.

- Mechanical aptitude is a must.

- Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus but not required.
