Description

We're looking for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Inpatient (Nights), working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Glens Falls, New York, United States.

  • Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnose psychiatric conditions.
  • Create individualized care plans based on assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  • Safely administer and monitor psychiatric medications, educating patients on their usage.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, counseling, and support to patients and families.
  • Monitor patient behavior, prevent crises, and maintain a secure environment to ensure patient safety.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • 2+ years of Behavioral Heath Unit experience required
  • Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients required
  • NY RN or Compact License required
  • BLS required
  • De-Escalation Training of any kind, CPI or NAPPI/Welle Certifications preferred
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Must be reliable and no attendance or call out concerns
  • Must be willing to work in Thanksgiving (including Friday and weekend after) AND Christmas-New Year Day Block, (If Needed/Scheduled)
  • Recent travel experience preferred
  • Experience with de-escalation of agitated patients preferred
