The Opportunity


We're looking for a Fraud and Claims Operations Representative, working in Financial Services industry in Roanoke, Virginia, United States.

  • Review, verify and/or identify customer transactions to detect/prevent financial crimes activities, policy violations and/or suspicious situations in order to mitigate and/or recover losses.
  • Monitor and review more complex account activity and claims requiring research that may involve multiple transaction channels and products.
  • Use a variety of sources for information, including multiple online systems and more complex tools/models.
  • Document research findings and actions on cases for possible referrals for Suspicious Activity, Identity Theft Operations (ITO) and Suspected Financial Abuse.
  • Contact a variety of sources to gather information; may contact customers and/or vendors to verify transactions; may analyze account information for close account determination.
  • Identify control failures in bank processes, procedures, customer or team member decisions and then categorize losses and assign loss accountability.
  • Review more complex/unique situations with senior department staff.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • 3+ months Fraud &/or Claims (healthcare, etc.) experience is a MUST.
  • Dependable, punctual and committed to showing up on time each day.
  • Self-starter & desire to consistently improve.
  • Proficient with basic PC knowledge and able to efficiently navigate multiple systems.
  • Fast paced production experience.
  • Analytical work experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Investigative skills
  • Versatile (may be asked to move roles/functions)
