The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for an Investment Operations Specialist, working in Banking/Finance industry in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Manages, prepares, and reviews the firm’s reconciliation process on a daily basis for cash and securities.
  • Communicates discrepancies with external parties (prime brokers, banks, administrators, etc.) as well as internal departments in order to resolve breaks.
  • Projects, preparse and analyze daily report detailing the firm’s cash availability.
  • Processes repo trades and confirm settlements.
  • Gains a working knowledge of the firm’s general trading strategy, operations, and common cash flows.
  • Assists in reviewing monthly shareholder statements.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant operational work experience including fund accounting, reconciliation and custody preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting controls as they relate to the investment management industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work with colleagues internally as well as the firm’s external counterparties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail.
