Description
We're looking for a
Procurement Buyer, working in
IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in
Austin, Texas, 78729, United States.
- Responsible for working with engineering teams to setup
vendors in internal tool(s), creating purchase orders, purchasing
materials, components, equipment, supplies or commodity products for
delivery at a specified time and location.
- Assist with shipping/receiving or items, tracks and
communicates status.
- Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers
are inadequate.
- Perform purchasing-related financial analysis and
forecasting.
- Apply basic foundation of a functions
principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope.
- Utilize professional concepts and theoretical
knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience.
- Exercise independent judgment within defined
parameters.
- Develop expertise and practical knowledge of
applications within business environment.
- Act as team member by providing information, analysis
and recommendations in support of team efforts.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Although not mandatory, typically requires a Bachelor's
degree or equivalent experience and/or 4 minimum years of related
experience.
- Basic knowledge of
buyer/planner functions and general familiarity with electrical/mechanical
hardware.
- Must be proficient in
Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Must have excellent communication skills and proficiency
in English
- Must be a quick learner and
able to self-drive activities to completion
- Must be willing to learn new
things and able to persistent through confusing processes and bureaucracy
