The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Software Engineer, working in IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in 10300 Energy Drive, Spring, Texas, 77389, United States.

  • Is responsible for the direction of the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software programs.
  • Oversee the development of software for operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, etc.
  • Is responsible for determining hardware compatibility and/or influencing hardware design.
  • Master: Unique mastery and recognized expertise on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, or techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Operate in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate to be successful.
  • Provide highly innovative solutions.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
  • Develop strategy and sets functional policy and direction.
  • Act as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.
  • Lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long term goals and objectives.
  • Participate in cross-division, multifunction teams.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 plus years related experience or Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 plus years of experience.
  • 4+ years of Experience in developing Windows
  • Programming software for operating systems, utilizing machine assembly and/or job control languages and software capabilities.
  • Application using C, C++, and C#.
  • Knowledge or experience with Windows OS Subsystem – Preferred • Experience with UI development using WPF.
  • Strong background of data structure.
  • Experience with windows API (winAPI).
  • Experience with or familiar with WMI.
  • Understanding of Agile principles needed and experience working in tools like ADO or JIRA.
