The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Reporting Manager, working in Real Estate industry in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Establishes process, ensure compliance with established timelines, communicate between all functional areas to ensure input and review/ signoff of each area.
  • Facilitates the budget program training efforts for input user groups (Regional Managers, Accounting, Construction).
  • Facilitates review meetings through RVP, SVP and Portfolio Management reviews.
  • Provides oversight of analysts and consolidate results into portfolio reporting for Portfolio Management review/presentations.
  • Implements process enhancements to maintain program efficiency.
  • Ensures budgets are prepared and communicated to JV partners in line with property management agreements, follow through to obtain annual budget approvals.
  • Oversees the budgeting and forecasting process related to due diligence and acquisitions of new assets.
  • Coordinates and reviews weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports prepared by the analysts and associates on the NRES team.
  • Manages monthly Variance Reports as completed by Operations and Accounting.
  • Supports the effective management of department infrastructure related to functional areas under department scope, including the property budget program and operations reporting, by advanced understanding of related applications and processes.
  • Participates in due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including lease file audits and operating budget analysis and preparation.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a senior financial operations or accounting role, or senior role with financial analysis responsibilities within a real estate company.
  • Skilled at understanding and interpreting core financial statements with an eye towards identifying issues and trends; developing and monitoring key performance drivers.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to develop complex formulas and work with large data sets through data selection and manipulation, pivot tables, and data base concepts.
  • Excellent computer skills with full knowledge of Microsoft product suit and with a strong aptitude for adapting to new technologies when required.
  • Experience with Yardi or proficiency with other asset management applications.
  • Experience with SAP BPC a plus.
