The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Sourcing Specialist, working in Oil and Gas industry in Houston, Texas, United States.

  • Drive global sourcing strategies in alignment with the company's Digital Technology requirements.
  • Partner with Sourcing and DT leadership to ensure all commercial requirements capture desired cost, performance, service, and business outcomes.
  • Develop and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships and strategic engagements with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Plan and assist Commodity Leaders with technology related negotiations across the company, and managing category spend.
  • Partner with Senior Commodity Leader(s) to negotiate all needed contracts, including hardware, software (& SaaS), or professional services with an emphasis on software contracts.
  • Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts in the negotiation and execution of contracts including Master Services Agreements Software License Agreements, Cloud-technologies including SaaS contracts, Master Product Agreements, Statements of Work, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Sourcing (OR High School Diploma / GED and a minimum 8 years of experience in IT Sourcing or IT Program Management)
  • Adept at Office tools including Excel, Word, PPT and other workplace tools necessary for data analysis and contract review
  • Ability to work independently in a high volume, global environment
  • Ability to use Ariba and other ERP systems on day 1
  • Experience with RFQ and RFP development, implementation and execution
