The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for a Tax Analyst, working in Travel, Transport and Logistics industry in Orlando, Florida, 32821, United States.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual multijurisdictional lodging, sales, use, excise, gross receipts, and tax returns and payments with supporting schedules, account reconciliations and other documentation as needed.
  • Ensure proper document retention and storage of filed tax returns.
  • Assist in routing and/or processing check requests and properly routing refunds to treasury.
  • Participate in state and local tax audits by gathering requested documentation and preparing supporting work papers.
  • Monitor the tax outlook mailbox and distribute/respond/ store emails as necessary.
  • Sort through tax mail (postal) and appropriately distribute.
  • Perform printing, photocopying, scanning and email correspondences, and notices, and maintain the Tax Notice Log as necessary.
  • Assist with business registrations and renewal of tax licenses for all Travel + Leisure, Co legal entities.
  • Assist with other indirect tax ad hoc projects, to include amending returns, responding to inquiries from taxing authorities, responding to inquiries from other departments, and researching tax rates.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-3 years overall tax experience
  • Experience in timeshare/hospitality industry a plus
  • Some public accounting and/or corporate tax experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with Indirect State and Local Taxes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive and have good analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets
  • Great organizational and time management skills
