The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for
Property Accountant, working in
Real Estate industry in
Newton, Massachusetts, United States.
- Assists
with responsibilities of month-end close processes, including the preparation
of various consolidated financial statements and analysis of financial results
for to be used in the preparation of public filings.
- Assists
in calculating and posting monthly interest income and amortization of deferred
fees.
- Compiles
and enters financial data from third parties into the general ledger.
- Assists
in the consolidation of financial statements.
- Assists
in the preparation of support for financial statement disclosures for external
filings.
- Assists
in the preparation of variance analysis and quarterly reporting packages.
- Ensures
financial records for various entities are maintained in compliance with the U.S.
GAAP.
- Assists
with all compliance-related matters including, quarterly reviews and year-end
audit support.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting and a strong record of success in academic and work
environments
- 2-4
years of accounting experience; public accounting experience
- CPA or CPA
candidate preferred
- Proficient
with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Yardi General Ledger preferred
- Demonstrate
knowledge of accounting practices and procedures with the ability to research and
recommend appropriate treatments
- Experience
in general ledger and loan accounting a plus
