The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for DevOps Engineer, working in Banking/Finance industry in Wilmington, Delaware, United States.

  • Provide thought-leadership to fellow team members and the client across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements.
  • Support activities involving scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, UAT and production deployment.
  • Build diagrams, project plans, present design in meetings, create build of materials.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation.
  • Act as a technical lead for other staff members, ranging from Helpdesk, Operations, Engineering and many different business units.
  • Identify project technical risks.
  • Provide expert level knowledge to identify problems and address them permanently.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed.
  • Work in conjunction with upper management to size, and manage scope and risk.
  • Provide support and technical governance focused on one or more projects at a single client.
  • Be a Master SME that acts as a resource to the organization.
  • Respond proactively to ad-hoc questions from all different IT units.
  • Wear the hat of a Leader, and troubleshoot anything at any time.
  • Provide specialized knowledge within IT industry domain and frameworks.
  • Act as the mentor to all team members on their assigned project tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years experience in DevOps engineering
  • Experience with Financial Services
  • Expert knowledge in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions
  • Expertise in all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process based applications
  • Expertise in a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to, Windows, Networking, Linux, Security, Production Support, Helpdesk, Operations, Telephony, Storage, & Scripting
  • Expertise in AWS Cloud
