The Opportunity

Description

We're looking for Accountant, working in Light Industrial industry in Needham, Massachusetts, United States.

  • Processing bi-weekly payroll in ADP to include per diems & certified payroll.
  • Performing customer billing and collections for NJ Office and one operating division in MA.
  • Completing credit card & bank reconciliations.
  • Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including collections.
  • Processing customer payments & bank deposits.
  • Performing job costing.
  • Assisting with monthly and annual closings, including regular journal entry adjustments.
  • Performing routine communication with customers, vendors and internal project managers.
  • Identifying the need for new processes/procedures & assisting with implementation.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP)
  • 2+ years using ADP Payroll Software (ADP Workforce)
  • Bill.com, ADP, Sage Intacct, Lockstep software experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Financial Reporting
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office with an emphasis on Excel & Outlook
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills
  • Accurate and timely data entry and record keeping skills
